TRACEY BELL-HODGMAN, LCSW

She/Her
EMDR Trained/IFS Informed

Embarking on the journey of therapy can bring up a variety of emotions, some which can be challenging. It takes courage to start this process and I hope to help navigate whatever comes up. Therapy can be a space to come and be vulnerable. Therapy can be a space to allow all the parts of you to be heard authentically and meet yourself with no judgement. I aim to co-create a space that is nonjudgmental, affirming, and even exciting, where people feel empowered and curious about their own self and discovery.

There is a saying in the therapy world, "the healing happens in the therapeutic relationship". I believe the reason the therapeutic relationship is important is because it serves as the backdrop for developing a deeper relationship with self, and that's where the real work is. The values that guide how I build therapeutic relationships are; curiosity, compasion, and acceptance. I blend my professional knowledge with a commitment to authenticity to support individuals across the life span on their journey of exploration, processing, and discovery.

Systems influence almost every aspect of our lives. My approach blends systems informed perspectives with elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Child and Parent Psychotherapy (CPP). I love to explore interventions based on individual strengths. My practice encompasses work with children, adolescents, emerging adults, and adults, addressing a diverse range of challenges including anxiety, depression, chronic experiences of trauma, exploring identity, infertility, and parenting. I am LGBTQIA+ and nonmonogamy affirming.
