Taylor Sheridan (she/Her) LCSW

Whatever brought you here—I welcome it. No matter where you are in your process, a therapeutic relationship can be a supportive tool in your journey. As a therapist, I am not here to solve the ups and downs of life. Instead, I am here to help guide you along in your journey of navigating the very real distress and pain that life brings us, while also supporting you in maintaining a meaningful connection to yourself and others along the way. My hope is that through the therapy process and relationship, we can work together to support you in experiencing your life more fully.

My therapy approach starts with establishing a warm, accepting, and non-judgemental space. We need these things in order to feel safe accessing our vulnerabilities and moving towards change. I encourage acceptance, mindfulness, and connection to yourself and community, while using empathy, humor, authenticity, and honesty in our relationship. Each therapy relationship and work is different; I take an eclectic approach to treatment and strive to tailor our work to your individual needs, while also keeping in mind that we are all part of and impacted by systems. In our work together, we will also look at the various familial, cultural, and societal systems and communities that impact your life experiences and identity.

I love working with children, teens, families, young adults, and adults. When working with children and families, I specialize in supporting families seeking to improve connection, understanding, and communication within their relationships. In my work with young adults and adults, I have experience supporting a variety of needs, including life transitions, relational stress, self-doubt, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, emotional abuse, and identity development.

I am grateful you are taking a step in seeking support. All inquiries are welcome: I would love to talk more and answer any questions you may have before starting this process. You can reach me via email at taylor@humboldtparkcounseling.com.
